Job Summary
The Nezami Lab at Brigham and Womens Hospital (a Harvard Medical School affiliate) is dedicated to advancing surgical innovation and precision medicine through a multidisciplinary approach that combines robotics control systems computer vision and biomedical engineering. Our team integrates cuttingedge research in AI system modeling and device design to develop intelligent solutions for complex surgical and clinical applications.Qualifications
We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Specialist with expertise in Computer Vision and control systems design to support the development and evaluation of an innovative medical technology platform. The ideal candidate will play a key role in conducting technical and financial feasibility studies optimizing system architecture and contributing to the creation of a preliminary functional prototype.
Key Responsibilities
Education
Masters Degree Related Field of Study required. (PhD in Robotics Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Biomedical Engineering or a related field preferred.)
Experience
Experience in an academic or laboratory research setting 35 years required
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Must be a problem solver willing to take the initiative and prioritize tasks thereby ensuring the smooth and efficient conduct of several projects simultaneously.
Ability to perform a variety of highly specialized cell culture and molecular biology procedures.
A high degree of computer literacy in order to use various spreadsheet database accounting and word processing programs to assist in administrative grant proposal preparation and research reporting activities.
Excellent organizational skills in order to formulate implement and monitor a number of interrelated tasks.
Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in handling of sensitive and confidential information.
Ability to work under deadline pressure and prioritize work from several sources.
Excellent interpersonal skills for internal and external communications.
