Maths Lead Battersea Wandsworth September 2025 Start
A highachieving secondary school in Battersea Wandsworth is looking to appoint a Maths Lead from September 2025. This is a fulltime Maths Lead role ideal for an ambitious and experienced practitioner ready to take on departmental responsibility without the full burden of Head of Department.
As Maths Lead you will play a central role in developing the maths curriculum supporting teacher development and leading on strategic initiatives such as raising achievement at GCSE and ALevel. The school is seeking a Maths Lead with a proven track record of excellent teaching and the ability to inspire both pupils and colleagues.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a current Maths Lead or an experienced Maths Teacher ready for promotion. You will have access to regular coaching additional leadership time and the support of a wellestablished SLT.
Maths Lead Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding teaching across KS3KS5
- Lead a strategic priority such as curriculum pedagogy or assessment
- Coach and support colleagues within the department
- Raise attainment and promote high expectations in maths
Person Specification:
- UK QTS and strong academic background in Mathematics
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience
- Demonstrable leadership impact or potential
