About You
Dicker Data islooking for a strategic and passionate leader to join our Software Business Unit in the role ofBusiness Manager. In this role you will lead a team of sales presales and product management specialiststo grow vendor solutions from our existing reseller channel and new partners. You thrive in fastpaced environments enjoy working across crossfunctional teams and have the commercial acumen to drive results.
What you will do in the role
Primary duties
Drive and exceed performance targets for the vendors under your responsibility.
Ensure profitability across all managed vendors within the Software Business Unit.
Lead a crossfunctional team including sales product managers and technical presales professionals.
Represent Dicker Dataand your vendors at the executive level including delivering impactful Clevel presentations.
Collaborate with the General Manager Software to define strategy and oversee daytoday operations.
Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with vendors to track progress and realign goals.
Understand your vendors market and competition to develop marketing strategies and manage cofunded marketing initiatives in line with vendor objectives.
Proactively identify and onboard new vendors to grow the Software Unit.
Recruit and build strong partner networks for each vendor you manage.
General duties
Provide exceptional sales support and customer service to Dicker Datas reseller network when required.
Maintain a professional image with all vendors partners and internal stakeholders.
Develop and maintain deep product and process knowledge for the vendors you represent.
Educate and support internal staff and reseller partners on products positioning and sales processes.
Attend vendor and reseller social and training events including occasional afterhours commitments.
What you will need to succeed in the role
Experience in vendor and/or channel management within the software or IT industry.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to forecast plan and meet financial targets.
Excellent negotiation presentation and communication skills comfortable liaising at Csuite level.
Strategic mindset with highlevel initiative problemsolving skills and enthusiasm.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire crossfunctional teams.
Sound knowledge of market trends competitors and emerging technologies.
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems.
Experience in sales processes and customer relationship management essential: recognise the potential in customers; ability to forecast numbers against budget on a monthly/quarterly basis.
Ability and willingness to travel locally interstate and internationally as required.
