Job Description

The Wolcott Town School District is seeking a dynamic and innovative teacher with an elementary teaching license to join the team starting with theSchool Year. The initial placement for this position is anticipated to be in Grade 6 and teach Math and Science for grades 5 and 6. The ideal candidate will have a: Passion for inspiring and working with elementary students Strong understanding of child development growth mindset and traumainformed practices Commitment to building strong relationships preventative classroom management and active differentiation Working knowledge of researchsupported best practices for early literacy instructionWolcott Elementary School is the gem of the Wolcott community. Built in 1989 the school has been home to many wonderful students teachers and families. Currently Wolcott Elementary serves 100 students in grades K6. Situated high on the hill Wolcott Elementary offers students a safe comfortable and rigorous academic environment. While academics are an important part of the experience our students are also treated to a loving and caring school has been recognized for the past several years as a PBIS School of Distinction.
