Pinterest is seeking a senior communications expert to join its International Communications team in the UK. This is a senior highimpact position focused on policy and corporate communications. The ideal candidate will be an authority on the UK media and political landscape skilled at amplifying our companys voice while navigating regulatory and corporate reputation issues.
You will adapt our global narrative to resonate with UK and on occasions European audiences identify crossfunctional opportunities and craft tailored communications strategies and materials. Youll serve as a trusted advisor to UK senior leadership and the global Csuite directly influencing how Pinterest is understood by key external stakeholders.
What youll do:
- Partner with the UK Country Communications Lead and International Comms team to shape and deliver a UK communications strategy aligned with Pinterests global communications objectives.
- Drive media relations: identify pitch and place compelling stories in business policy and corporate outlets.
- Cultivate strong relationships with journalists industry analysts and key stakeholders; manage press briefings and respond to media enquiries including rapid response (and strategy) to highpriority issues.
- Profile executives and thought leaders: secure relevant speaking opportunities and manage executive communications and positioning.
- Lead policy communications: monitor the policy/regulatory landscape (especially relating to online safety) plan proactive campaigns and respond strategically to emerging issues. Partner closely with inhouse Policy teams.
- Manage issues and crisis communications as needed ensuring timely and effective messaging to external audiences.
- Create and deliver opeds executive commentary and thought leadership pieces and partnership opportunities to reinforce Pinterests role as a positive platform.
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with global and local teams including marketing product policy and legal to ensure coordinated and impactful comms.
What were looking for:
- 10 years communications experienceideally split between agency and inhouse roles with a technology or digital media brand
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Comms Business or Marketing OR equivalent experience
- Demonstrated expertise in UK media and policy plus a strong grasp of EU/global
- Experience shaping strategies and messaging during policy debates especially those related to online safety privacy or platform regulation
- Proven track record of working directly with Csuite executives
- Deep issues management and media relations experience (UK and international)
- Exceptional prioritisation skills; calm and effective under pressure
- Excellent writing editing and verbal communication abilities
- A collaborative teamoriented mindset; experience working in complex global organisations
InOffice Requirement Statement:

- This role will need to be in the office for inperson collaboration approximately 12 times a week and needs to be in a commutable distance from our London office.
