Job Description
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction coordination implementation execution control and completion of projects ensuring consistency with company strategy commitments and goals The Senior Project Manager may oversee more than one project at a time and have general oversight and input on all projects outside their assigned tasks. They will assist in the leadership and mentorship of the organizations project management team.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing all phases of construction projects
Assist the Development Team in design development and constructability review in a vertically integrated project.
Defines the scope goals and deliverables of projects.
Leads the planning and implementation of the project client and consultant coordination.
Develops and monitor full scale project plans.
Manage budget and resource allocation throughout the life of the project including human resources.
Tender and award scopes of work using preapproved subcontracts
The successful candidate will be a strong project manager possesses analytical problemsolving skills be a clear communicator with strong writing skills have a customer focused approach to their work with an ability to adapt their style reprioritize effectively and respond to change positively.
If you possess the following:
10 years of construction experience preferably multifamily
5 years of experience in wood frame residential construction or 5 years in Concrete Tower (Midhighrise)
At least 10 years of direct work experience in construction project management
A post secondary degree or diploma in construction building technology or engineering.
A Gold Seal Constructor or PMP designation; or are working towards it.
Proven ability to lead a project and support staff
Excellent communication and time management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Project Outlook Excel Word and ProCore
Understand the fundamentals of contract administration
Knowledge of OH&S regulations and related building codes is essential
Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods
Highly effective in negotiation diplomacy and conflict resolutions skills
