SUMMARY

The Liturgy Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all parish liturgical functions celebrations and all ministries related to it.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares Mass Scripts for all liturgies in English and Spanish
  • Recruit train and schedule all liturgical ministers including the readers commentators extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist ushers sacristans flower/plant care volunteers
  • Responsible for church and sacristy care (general cleaning on exterior of baptism font and sacristy maintain holy water vessels) linen laundry baptism gowns altar seamstress.
  • Attend all Liturgy Committee meetings to determine parish liturgical policy and to assist in the liturgy planning process and seasonal church environment
  • Schedule/prepare mass intention lists for altar and presider to include Intercessions and announcements
  • Attend weekend and special event masses to observe ministers and the flow of the liturgy
  • Develop and coordinate rites and liturgical services
  • Plan organize and execute rites and ceremonies as required
  • Maintain and submit orders for all liturgical supplies (i.e. hosts wine candles) and equipment
  • Prepare and maintain sacramental records ceremonial documents and records
  • Assist office staff with administrative tasks as needed
  • Ensure all cash received is verified and properly deposited
  • Collaborate with other departments on various events and projects

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; must be a practicing Catholic and active in a parish; possess the ability to honor and maintain confidentiality; must work well with people of all walks of life and possess the ability to lead and train liturgical ministers

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 12 years experience in Liturgical Ministry.

CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS

  • Drivers License.
