Job Description

Job Title: Head Cheerleader Coach East Valley High School

Reports to: Athletic Director and Building Principal

Work Schedule: Per WIAA Season (requested start date: August 2025)

Salary: EVCO Salary Schedule $5409 $8256 for the season depending on placement per experience.

Job Summary:

The Head Cheerleader Coach works under the direct supervision of the athletic director and the principal. The coach is expected to provide the necessary leadership and to plan organize and be responsible for the cheerleading team and to carry out the objectives of the school athletic program. Varsity level coaches are expected to have had previous successful varsity coaching experience and experience in playing the sport at the collegiate or high school level. Qualified candidates should possess strong communication organizational motivational teaching and coaching skills. This person should be a person of high character and values that will set a positive example for all students at East Valley High School.

This position does NOT include a teaching position in the District.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee may be required to deal with distraught and/or angry persons and is exposed to infectious diseases carried by children. The noise level in the work environment is acceptable to this particular environment and can vary depending upon daily activity and sporting events.

Evaluation:

The Head Cheerleader Coach shall be evaluated periodically by the athletic director pursuant to the currently established district procedures and evaluation criteria. The process shall include an evaluation of the employees performance of the above essential job functions.
