The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Statewide Aviation is looking for an Airport Leasing Specialist 1/2/3 Flex to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
Base Salary Information:
Airport Leasing Specialist 1: $26.66 / Hourly OT Eligible
Airport Leasing Specialist 2: $30.62 / Hourly OT Eligible

What You Will Be Doing:

The Airport Leasing Specialist 1 is an entry level position. Under the supervision of an Airport Leasing Specialist 4 (Northern Region Chief) this position administers and enforces contracts processes applications for land use at rural airports and drafts legal documents.

As an Airport Leasing Specialist 2 this journey level position will begin to independently manage land and leasing matters for airports. This position is responsible for administering and enforcing contracts processing of applications including internal reviews and public notice and drafting legal documents.

The Airport Leasing Specialist 3 is a professionallevel position for managing Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) land and handling more difficult scenarios in management of this land in compliance with state and federal laws regulations and policies. The applicant must have experience in negotiating writing and administering contracts and working with a team. A solid understanding of aviation regulations is essential. A working knowledge of the State Revenue Accounting System (RAS) is preferred.

Our intent is to fill this vacancy with the most skilled applicant at either the Level 1 2 or 3. This position is part of a flex series (Airport Leasing Specialist 1 2 or 3) meaning you may be hired at the level that best matches your qualifications and experience. Once hired you will follow a structured training plan designed to build your skills and knowledge. Upon successful completion of the training plan and mandatory probationary period and with supervisory approval you maybe flexed to the next level in the series.

The office is located within the DOT&PF complex at 2301 Peger Road in Fairbanks. However on occasion this position has the opportunity for shortduration travel to rural airports in northern Alaska. The office is made up of a sevenmember team committed to providing exceptional service to tenants and customers at rural airports in northern Alaska. This position is eligible for an altered work schedule and teleworking following sufficient training and demonstrated performance; the supervisor will coordinate these options with the selected candidate.

FLEXIBLY STAFFED

This position is flexibly staffed. It may be filled at the 1 2 or 3 level depending on the applicants training and/or experience. The full range of salaries is listed above. Starting salary will be determined by the level the position is hired at. The level of the job offer will be based on the selected candidates credibly possessed and proven competencies. If hired at the lower level you will be promoted to the higher level after successfully completing the training plan and demonstrating competency in the work.
