RRC is seeking a talented Geotechnical EngineerinTraining (EIT) to help us build the future of U.S. energy production from our Round Rock Texas office. RRC is seeking a qualified Geotechnical EngineerinTraining (EIT) to support RRCs projects throughout the United States. This position is based in RRCs Round Rock Texas office.
This position will provide the training and mentorship to the motivated EITs for career growth within the company in technical and/or project management path. Essential Responsibilities
- Perform fieldwork for geotechnical subsurface investigation programs and geophysical surveys for RRCs projects under specific work instructions as provided by project managers including geotechnical drilling and sampling visual field reconnaissance and soil and rock logging and geophysical surveys. This also includes communication and interaction with drilling contractors and clients.
- Observation and documentation of geotechnical construction activities and perform construction material testing/inspection during construction phases.
- Under the supervision of RRCs senior geotechnical staff perform geotechnical engineering tasks including review of soil and bedrock samples review insitu and laboratory test results shallow and deep foundation design calculations settlement calculations slope stability and other conventional geotechnical engineering calculations.
- Perform other engineering activities as required.
