Associate Director of Admission

FLSA status: Exempt Employment

Type: Full Time

SUMMARY
The Associate Director of Admission is responsible for the implementation of the goals of Catholic education as outlined in The Holy Sees Teaching on Catholic Schools (Archbishop Michael Miller):

Position: Associate Director of Admission

General Description:

Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management the Associate Director of Admission serves as a primary ambassador for marketing and student recruitment at Bishop Lynch High School (BLHS). The Associate Director of Admission must be able to assume varied roles and multitask in a fastpaced and collaborative work environment. A welcoming attitude is essential as is the ability to work independently as well as with a team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent administrative and organizational skills as well as be a collaborative problemsolver committed to the mission of Bishop Lynch High School

JOB EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Admissions Support Activities:
Coordinate with the Director to create implement and evaluate a comprehensive
enrollment management plan.
With the Director plan organize implement host and evaluate various admissions
events including but not limited to BL Sunday (open house) information nights high
school visit days parent events application and financial aid workshops family
interview events new family welcome events placement testing and admissions
receptions.
Assist families with the application process financial aid questions and the online
process for application and enrollment.
Collaborate with the financial aid office to ensure families understand tuition and aid.
Provide BLHS admissions information at middle school meetings as needed.
Manage admissions database (Ravenna Systems) to assist families in application
completion.
Utilize Ravenna database and other resources to provide regular enrollment data reports.
Field incoming phone calls emails and inperson inquiries; records and reports
necessary information.
Assist and organize student shadow visits maintain database of current student hosts
visiting students and communication with teachers/staff about visitors.
Greet prospective families and conduct campus tours.
Return phone calls and emails daily.
Host organize and supervise the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) test
administration on campus.
Schedule planned admission events utilizing the school calendar database (Veracross)
and assist with facilities and operations requests.
Provide training and education to all BLHS faculty and staff regarding the admission and
enrollment process for prospective students.
Other duties and activities as assigned for the efficient operation of the department.

Outreach/Marketing:
Contact principals at feeder schools and acquire contact information and outreach
opportunities for prospective students.
Meet with each principal/assistant principal personally throughout the year to foster
relationships with the school community.
Inform feeder school principals regarding any admissions process updates and upcoming
admissions events (BL Sunday etc.).
Present the school to prospective students and parents through school tours and
presentations.
Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment Management on admission print and digital
marketing including management of prospect/inquiry contacts.
Promote relationships and create networking opportunities with schools outside
institutions or groups that can be helpful in attracting quality students such as principals
school staff Dallas Parochial League coordinator middle school athletic directors
DECATS staff and more.
Collaborate with BLHS program directors and coaches to assist in marketing their
programs to prospective students.
Assist as needed with summer camps and Club Friar (K8th grade outreach) events to
build early interest in BLHS.
Collaborate with Director of Enrollment Management to identify new community groups
and avenues of outreach.

QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of a bachelors degree required with experience in a private high school
preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable speaking in front of/with students grades 58 as well as their parents
Communicate effectively via phone email video calls and all other means of
communication
Selfstarting and creative
Solid independent judgement
Superior organizational skills
Ability to build positive relationships/networking skills
Work effectively as a team member
