Job Description
The Business Banking Officer is responsible for developing and managing relationships with small to midsized business clients. This role involves identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate banking products and services. The officer serves as a key point of contact for businesses seeking loans deposit solutions and cash management services and collaborates closely with partners across various business lines.
Essential Job Functions
Seek out new business opportunities within the banks defined market areas and participate in active business development activities to attract and retain quality clients for the bank.
Develop and maintain a network of professional relationships and referral sources that include real estate brokers accountants attorneys and other centers of influence to generate new business.
Recommend and sell a range of banking products including loans deposits and treasury management solutions.
Manage the endtoend credit process including loan structuring approval documentation and closing in collaboration with underwriting and credit teams.
Coordinate with internal partners to deliver fullservice banking solutions to clients.
Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelors degree with business focus preferred.
Strong working knowledge of appropriate credit structure and key factors of Bank policy guidelines related to assessing credit quality.
Demonstrated ability to assess a loan applicant risk profile and manage that credit structure and actively manage the risk inherent to lending.
Highly organized and proactive planner with strong time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Formal sales and/or credit training is preferred.
