Make a difference as An Account Receivable Collection Specialist
As a fulltime Account Receivable Collection Specialist at HamptonNewport News Community Services Board you will play a vital role in utilizing Electronic Health Records to streamline billing processes for various payers including Medicaid Medicare Commercial Third Party and Contract Payers. Your responsibilities will involve closely monitoring payments and outstanding accounts receivable balances ensuring the timely collection of receivables to maintain financial stability. Additionally you will provide exceptional customer service by offering support and guidance on direct client patient accounts contributing to a positive experience for our clients and partners. To thrive as a fulltime Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist at the HamptonNewport News Community Services Board a robust set of skills and experience is essential. Candidates must have at least two years of medical billing claims submission or healthcare collections experience with a minimum of one year working within an automated computerbased system. Proficiency in relevant software tools will be critical for accurately processing and managing billing to Medicaid Medicare and various commercial thirdparty insurers. A keen attention to detail and strong organizational abilities are vital for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory changes.
Additionally effective communication skills will facilitate collaboration with external agencies and enhance collection efforts. Your commitment to excellence and integrity will greatly contribute to the overall success of our agency.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Two (2) years of medical billing claims submission and/or healthcare collections experience of which at least 1 year must be in an automated computerbased system.
- Valid state drivers license.
