St. Peters Residence at Chedoke is currently seeking a Resident Care Supervisor to join our team!

Position Summary:
Working as part of the leadership team this position is responsible for ensuring that resident care exceeds standards and expectations. This position supports the homes Infection Prevention and Control program (IPAC) as well as all aspects of resident admissions including liaising with residents and family members pending admission and throughout the admission process. Oversees and coordinates the RAI MDS processes in accordance with MOHLTC regulations monitoring and supporting all staff to ensure accuracy of data and takes corrective action as necessary. The position provides leadership to the staff teams ensuring the implementation of best practice approaches to resident care.
Employment Guide:
- Strong candidates for this position will be Registered Practical Nurse and registered in good standing with the College of Nurses Ontario; a minimum of 2 years experience in the LongTerm Care or Acute Care sector is preferred.
- Have experience in quality improvement adult education is beneficial. Knowledge of epidemiological principles statistics and microbiology and the ability to integrate this knowledge into clinical practice would be a significant asset.
- Must demonstrate effective leadership communication and problemsolving skills with the ability to educate and support employees.
- Flexibility to work or support all three shifts is required as well as participating in the homes oncall leader rotation.
- Member of National Infection Control Association (IPAC Canada) is beneficial
- Current CPR and First Aid is required.

Job Type: Fulltime permanent. 37.5 hours per week
