Job Description

  • All PPE and Uniforms Provided
  • Work with a local business with an exciting rage of projects and services!
  • June/July 2025 start date
  • Hours are 6am 2pm Monday to Friday with potential for Saturday overtime

Our host business is a wellestablished locally owned business that services fields such as mining aviation defence bases minor civil works education funeral homes & Industrial Sheds and Demolition consulting. Due to business growth we are seeking to engage the services of a 1st2nd or 3rd year apprentice carpenter. The successful candidate will continue to build on the skills and knowledge gained in the building industry. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate as you will not only work alongside qualified carpenters but you will also work alongside a number of other trades involved with commercial construction.

Your apprenticeship will involve:

  • Commercial Construction
  • Setting out
  • Construct wall and ceiling frames
  • Construct pitched roofs and eaves
  • Install bulkheads windows and doors
  • Using hand tools and power tools

Requirements:

  • Must have a drivers licence and a reliable vehicle
  • Certificate II in carpentry is highly regarded
  • Construction White card
  • working at heights
  • Committed to workplace health and safety
  • Ability to pass a medical including drug and alcohol testing

Community Solutionsis a nonforprofit organisation operating as a commercial business providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
