Description

The Supply Chain coordinator is key to leading the company forward in securing quality of materials and components covering price delivery and quality targets. The Supply Chain Coordinator will support all members of the Supply Chain and Operations team at a tactical level to help achieve objectives required to aid production of existing and new product development.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Prints both PO and RPO daily order requirements from BC (Business Central) investigates and processes POs to approved vendors only (fax or email). Ensures correct scheduled delivery dates are input into the system to meet production time lines and customers order shipments. Evaluates usage and inventory replenishment records on Business Central System.
  • Efficiently coordinates third party shipment transactions and carriers to ensure ontime delivery of products as well asto assist in obtaining the lowest cost and highest performance from our carriers. Assist in reducing overall logistics cost and increase Logistics Solutions profitability.
  • Validates and adjusts quantity schedule inventory balances order policy and compliance.
  • Interfaces with internal stake holders and suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Manages and controls assigned suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of materials and finished parts for production. Ensures parts and materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time for production.
  • Resolves invoices and price discrepancies with vendors to facilitate timely and proper payment of invoices. Calls vendors negotiates price and expedites orders. Process periodic RFQs for new parts. Engages vendors to resolve any issues related to received shipments. Checks for inventory discrepancies and corrects.
  • Keeps work area organized and clean. Addresses special projects as assigned by Supply Chain Manager.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at once. Works independently and stays focused. Ability to communicate and interact well with internal stakeholders and vendors. Sets priorities and take into account short and longterm needs of the business.
  • Strong Microsoft Office computer skills especially advanced Excel ERP such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central a plus.
  • Positive Attitude with good customer service relations. SelfMotivated to get assigned work completed. Understands and assumes the duties of department members in their absence to ensure a continuous consistent flow of operations.
  • Inventory Management a plus. Problem solving skills goal and detail oriented.
  • A minimum of 2 yearsexperience in purchasing a plus. Post High School education a plus.
