Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Facilities Technician
Location: Clarksville TN
Shift: 1st Shift

Jostens is looking for a qualified Facilities Maintenance Technician with ample experience in Facilities upkeep to include building equipment and general systems. Our Facilities Technician works as part of a team or independently to provide excellent facilities maintenance and repairs including interior exterior plumbing basic electrical carpentry and painting assembling and disassembling of equipment office furniture and HVAC and mechanical support as needed.
This position provides a wide variety of Maintenance support requiring generalized and specific knowledge of mechanical electrical hydraulic machined parts pneumatic HVAC water and other systems. Repairs and / or orders parts to replace failed components.

Provides detailed descriptions dimensions and specifications for outsourced parts and systems. Coordinates repairs with external vendors and work performed by other through Maintenance Contracts. Assists with the installation of production equipment to insure proper infrastructure and support systems. Trains others in proper preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Provides maintenance and support solutions to building modifications. Ensures that all work is done according to laws rules and regulations governing external power systems environments and safety. Works regularly scheduled shifts and is periodically oncall for emergency services. Prioritizes work according to safety production and project plans. Keeps updated on new technologies equipment repairs and governmental regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Twoyear Degree or Diploma in Industrial Maintenance Machinist Metal Fabrication and/or similar degrees from Technical or Trade School preferred.
  • 5 years minimum working experience as a Facilities Maintenance Tech required.
  • Good knowledge of industrial machinery & troubleshooting skills in Mechanical Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read Mechanical Hydraulic & Pneumatic prints.
  • Experience with welding; such as Mig Tig Arc (stick) OxyAcetylene Welding & Brazing.
  • Ability to read measuring devices such as Micrometer Dial Caliper Depth Micrometer Dial indicators etc.
  • Knowledge of Drilling Tap and Die (threads) Broaching Keyways etc.
  • Experience with machine installation and rigging as well as use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to drive Fork Trucks Aerial Lifts and/or Boom Lifts safely required.
  • Ability to disassemble machines and repair pumps cylinders rebuild gearboxes clutches etc.
  • Good experience in Preventive Maintenance.
  • Good communication skills written and verbal.
  • Great customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must have a great disposition to help others and a good sense of urgency.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice.
  • Good computer skills required.
  • Works well under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Must have flexibility to learn and use new technology.
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
  • Must have excellent attendance record.
