QUALIFICATIONS
Our ideal candidate has completed an educational program in radiologic technology but its not required. Proficiency in a language other than English would also be a plus. Heres mainly what were looking for:
- Completion of an accredited educational program in diagnostic medical sonography
- Ability to become registered by ARDMS or ARRT in sonography within 6 months of hire
- Current BLS or CPR certification
- Basic computer proficiency
- High school diploma or equivalent
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ULTRASOUND TECH SONOGRAPHER
You usually work the day shift Monday Friday with no oncall requirement.
In this role you skillfully operate various equipment to capture highquality images that assist our esteemed team of physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. Always friendly and professional you prepare patients for procedures and answer any questions they have. You carefully set up your equipment to get the clearest image possible and help figure out whats going on with our patients bodies. Attention to detail is vital and you follow all procedures to minimize patient risk and potential for errors. Your efforts play a key role in helping optimize our patients health!
