Job Title: Transportation Dispatcher Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt
Reports to: Director of Transportation Pay Grade: 4 260 days
Dept./School: Transportation Date Revised:June 2023
Coordinates the daytoday operations of school bus drivers and bus aides with the bus routes.
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid Texas commercial drivers license (Class B)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Bilingual required
Ability to pass alcohol and drug test
Ability to complete required bus driver safety training
Ability to organize and assign people to duties
Fluent knowledge of computers and applications such as: Excel Word etc.
Ability to work well under stress and communicate well with people
Ability to relate to parents students and school personnel in the situations of bus problems
Evidence of ability to organize plan and implement a project to successful completion
Experience:
Three years experience in transportation preferably in a supervisory capacity
Experience in supervising large groups of skilled and/or semiskilled personnel
Dispatch experience required

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise and evaluate work of assistant dispatcher.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions prolonged use of computer repetitive hand motions.
