As the Cluster Director of Engineering you will combine highlevel strategic leadership with effective daytoday management fostering a high performing and collaborative team culture. You will be responsible for the Engineering team maintenance and capital projects for The Westin Brisbane and Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane and bring with you a proven track record in Engineering/Maintenance Management with handson expertise in managing fast paced operations.

Key responsibilities:
- Provide transformative leadership through coaching feedback and succession planning to develop the talent pipeline
- Provide a professional advisory and executive support service to the General Manager to assist in meeting the strategic goals of the establishment
- Supervise and control the Maintenance Request System
- Take the lead on all property level Sustainability initiatives
- Control initiate and undertake capital projects from design and pricing to construction and commissioning
- Control and administer all Engineering contracts throughout the Hotel
- Oversee the general cost control aspects of maintenance
- Carry out regular inspections of plant and equipment and ensure that inspections required by Government authorities are conducted and documented
- Carry out general room inspections and preventative maintenance inspections
- Foster an inclusive authentic workplace culture that empowers team members to thrive
- Build strong relationships with internal key stakeholders
- Manage and lead innovative food and beverage requirements in implementing new concepts and activating new offerings
- Maintain a strong operational presence supporting teams to enhance member and client experiences and drive revenue growth
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers contractors and internal teams to drive collaboration innovation and cost efficiencies
- Manage labor and operating expenses to optimize profitability through effective scheduling budgeting menu engineering purchasing and stock control
- Oversee financial performance including P&L management and budget setting with a primary focus on maximizing profitability
About you:
- Extensive experience in Engineering/Maintenance Operations in a similar position within a multidisciplinary organisation
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards
- Hands on attitude and proven leadership skills to nurture develop and bring out the best in your team
- Passionate about business improvement developing strategies and systems implementation
- Skilled in navigating differing perspectives fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that maximizes team potential and drives business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently deliver results on time meeting key performance indicators and business outcomes
- Proven ability to lead mentor and develop both permanent and casual team members providing coaching and growth opportunities that enhance team performance
- Experience in working with financial targets cost control and resource optimization to ensure profitability while upholding quality standards
