Position Summary
The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Indiana University Bloomingtons Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies invites applications for a fulltime nontenuretrack Visiting Assistant Professor of Japanese Language and Linguistics to begin August 1 2025. The successful candidate will be able to teach Japanese language and linguistic courses. Ability to teach Introduction to Japanese Linguistics or a Japaneserelated content course in English is a plus. Application materials should include the following: Curriculum Vitae a sample syllabus for Japanese language class (preferably first or secondyear level) a statement of teaching philosophy and contact information for three (3) references to provide letters of recommendation.
