Job Description
- Summer High School Intern Coordinator
- A vacancy is available for a 21st Century Summer High School Intern Coordinator to oversee high school student interns working at the summer locations for Gomes Jacobs Pulaski Winslow Parker Swift and Brooks.
- Oversees high school interns working in summer programming.
- Interviews and hires new high school interns in conjunction with the Out of School Time Manager.
- Manages the return of previous high school interns working for district summer programs.
- Coordinates and collaborates all aspects of the high school internship program with the Out of School Time Manager.
- Creates and carries out onboarding and training requirements for summer interns.
- Supports and trains high school interns on ProjectBased Learning and lesson planning.
- Coordinates placement and scheduling for high school interns.
- Recruits trains and monitors summer program teachers mentoring interns.
- Administers exit interviews with student interns at the end of the summer session.
- Holds daily and weekly debriefing meetings with interns teacher mentors site facilitators and the district Out of School Time Manager.
- Engages in goalsetting and progress monitoring of student interns.
- Completes all required reports forms and other DESE internship grant related requirements
- Completes other high school intern program related tasks provided by the district Out of School Time Manager.
- Previous summer experience required
- Experience with scheduling SAYO outcomes and ProjectBased Learning
- Willingness to travel to multiple school sites
- Reports to: School Principal or Designee
- Dates: May 15 2025 September 15 2025
- Hours: 7:30am 3:30pm
- Rate: $42/hour
