THE ORGANIZATION: Mi Familia Vota (MFV) and Mi Familia en Accion (MFA) are prominent national civic engagement organizations dedicated to empowering and promoting civic participation within the Latino community. These organizations develop coordinate and implement sophisticated nonpartisan field programs and strategies including citizenship promotion and assistance voter registration and voter education and mobilization. Mission and Vision: MFV and MFA work to unite the Latino community and its allies to advocate for social and economic justice through increased civic participation. They engage with Latino communities yearround on six key issues: immigration voting rights the environment workers rights education and healthcare.

Organizational Structure Mi Familia Vota is a 501(c)(4) organization and Mi Familia en Accion is a 501(c)(3) organization.

Mi Familia Vota builds Latino political power by uniting Latino immigrant and allied communities to promote social and economic justice through citizenship workshops voter registration drives and voter participation initiatives.

MFV operates in eight strategic states: Arizona California Colorado Georgia Florida Nevada Texas Washington D.C. and North Carolina. Established in 2008 Mi Familia Vota is headquartered in Phoenix Arizona.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Grants & Development Coordinatorwill be responsible for researching writing and submitting grant proposals managing grant reporting and compliance and identifying new funding opportunities. This role will also support the development team in diversifying funding sources by exploring new sectors and funders beyond traditional pools. The ideal candidate is highly organized a strong writer and eager to think strategically about funding sustainability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Grant Writing & Compliance:

  • Research write and submit compelling grant proposals tailored to institutional funders.
  • Ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements including tracking deliverables and deadlines.
  • Manage and maintain an organized grant calendar and database (Every Action) to track submissions reports and funding commitments.
  • Support reconciliation of grant agreements MOUs and financial records to ensure alignment with funding requirements.

Prospecting & Diversifying Funding Sources:

  • Conduct research to identify new funding opportunities including foundations corporations and government grants.
  • Analyze funding eligibility criteria and alignment with MFVs programs and priorities.
  • Assist in creative strategy sessions to explore innovative ways to expand funding from diverse sources.

Development & Donor Stewardship:

  • Assist with donor communications including stewardship reports and updates on funded programs.
  • Support donor data tracking ensuring accuracy in gift processing pledges and donor interactions.
  • Provide administrative support for small donor campaigns and fundraising outreach.

Event & Executive Support:

  • Assist in planning and executing donor cultivation events and fundraising initiatives.
  • Provide executive support to the CEO for fundraisingrelated meetings and presentations.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in communications nonprofit management or a related field.
  • Experience in grant writing fundraising or nonprofit development preferred.
  • Strong writing and research skills with the ability to craft compelling proposals.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite Asana donor management systems (Every Action preferred).
  • Ability to analyze funding opportunities and strategically align them with MFVs mission.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a deadlinedriven environment.
  • Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Commitment to the mission of Mi Familia Vota and a passion for civic engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with prospect research and donor cultivation strategies.
  • Familiarity with financial management grant compliance and reporting processes.
  • Experience with event planning and donor engagement.
