Job Duties
Position is Monday Friday on Dayshift. May be required to work weekends or take on call rotation on weekends.
Assume safe and timely transportation of residents on both a scheduled and as needed basis. Observe resident for any changes in condition and report/submit any documentation/follow up to charge nurse. Represent facility in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Ensure all transported residents are returned to facility before ending shift. Follow the direction of Assistant Director of Nursing.
Assure that the vehicle is fully fueled at the end of the day. Report any and all mechanical problems to the Director of Building & Grounds and Assistant Director of Nursing. Maintain required logs records and reports. These are to be completed each day along with the pretrip form.
Responsible for pickup and delivery of supplies equipment and material needed outside of the facility as well as within.
Performs other duties as may be assigned that are within the Nursing departments mission and as situations warrant in meeting the overall needs of the facility. In down time report to the Assistant Director of Nursing.
May be required to work weekends or take on call rotation on weekends.
May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have CPR training or willing to obtain upon hire.
Current Virginia Drivers License with clear driving record.

Salaries for current state employees will be determined according to the current state compensation plan.
