Job Description
We are currently seeking skilled Ship Crane Operators for our Stevedoring and/or Cargo Handling operations. The purpose of this position is to accurately and safely discharge and/or offload vessels in port in the most efficient ways possible. We uphold the highest safety standards and seek to employ likeminded operators.
Details:
- Scheduling:
- Operators can expect shift work type scheduling including nights and weekends as needed.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- $26$28/hr. Based on experience

Responsibilities
- Safely operate Ship to Shore Cranes
- Safe and knowledgeable operation of equipment
- Inspection of equipment for defect or damage before and after operation
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment to safety standards
- Discharge Vessels promptly
- Attentive to operations and surroundings
- Follow scheduling and production goals set by management
- Work as a team to meet achieve and exceed goals when possible
Qualifications
- 6 months minimum experience with Ship Crane Operation or similar.
- Must possess valid relevant crane training certification if you do not have work experience. This includes Gantry Crane GL/GLE or K4 Crane Training.
- Understanding and knowledge of methods materials tools and equipment used for Crane Operation.
- Ability to read write speak and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card (for more information visit the TSA website on TWIC requirements)
- Valid US drivers license
Other Details:
- As a port employer our team is subject to working in all weather conditions including extreme heat and harsh winters. We work in all weather conditions.
- All employees must pass a background check drug screening and preemployment physical and be able to obtain a valid TWIC card within a specified period of hire.
