Were looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join our Value NSW team. In this role you will manage the performance integrity and security of our cloudbased and onpremise databases. Youll implement automation optimise performance and lead capacity planning while ensuring compliance with cyber security and ISO 27001 standards.
This is a handson technical position with influence across system performance disaster recovery and futureready database operations playing a vital role in delivering trusted land valuation data services for the people of NSW.
Extensive experience managing cloudbased databases and associated platform environments such as AWS RDS Azure SQL or hybrid models
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure including Azure SQL Data Warehouse Data Factory and Pipelines as well as Data Warehouse design. Strong automation skills (PowerShell Python JavaScript) to streamline database tasks like backups and performance tuning
Strong SQL scripting skills and development handson experience with schema design and data warehousing best practices and understanding of dimensional modelling.
Proven ability to deliver capacity planning database performance optimisation monitoring and reporting and highavailability strategies
Deep understanding of database security best practices change control and compliance with privacy regulations
Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science IT or a related field and/or equivalent experience
