Job Description
Garment Production Manager oversees the entire manufacturing process of garments from raw materials to finished products ensuring timely delivery quality and costeffectiveness. They plan production schedules manage resources and lead the production team to meet targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning and Scheduling:
Develop and implement production schedules ensuring timely delivery of garments.
Resource Management:
Manage resources like materials labor and equipment to optimize production flow.
Quality Control:
Ensure garments meet quality standards through checks at various stages of production.
Cost Management:
Monitor and manage production costs identifying costsaving opportunities.
Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate the production team ensuring high performance safety and continuous improvement.
Problem Solving:
Proactively identify and solve production issues to maintain efficiency.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate with various departments including design sales and quality control to ensure smooth operations.
Continuous Improvement:
Implement and monitor continuous improvement projects related to production and quality.
Vendor Management:
Deal with vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
Inventory Management:
Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and minimize waste.
Data Analysis:
Analyze production data to identify trends bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations in the production environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Typically requires several years of experience in the garment industry especially in production management.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes including cutting sewing finishing and quality control.
Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate the production team.
Organizational and Planning Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
ProblemSolving Skills: Ability to identify and solve production problems quickly and effectively.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
Education: A degree in Fashion Technology Textile Engineering or a related field is often preferred
