Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Senior Field Guide for a luxury safari getaway situated in the heart of Hluhluwe KwaZuluNatal. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced guide to join a dynamic team delivering worldclass safari experiences in a pristine Big Five environment.
Minimum Requirements:
FGASA NQF Level 2 or higher (or equivalent)
Valid PDP and driver s licence
Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) and First Aid Level 2
Minimum of 3 years experience in a guiding role within a Big Five Reserve
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Sound knowledge of South African flora and fauna
Track and Sign or Trails Guide qualification (advantageous)
Ability to host guests with professionalism and charisma
Passion for conservation and wildlife education
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct guided game drives and bush walks ensuring guest safety and an engaging informative experience
Deliver indepth knowledge of local ecosystems animal behaviour birdlife and conservation practices
Provide exceptional hosting and guest relations throughout the safari and lodge experience
Tailor guiding approach to meet individual guest interests and expectations
Maintain high standards of vehicle upkeep cleanliness and game drive equipment
Comply with reserve and lodge operating procedures safety protocols and conservation ethics
Act as a role model and mentor to junior guides when required
Assist with lodge operational tasks as needed including guest transfers and vehicle checks
Contribute to guest feedback reports and support the broader lodge team in delivering a memorable stay
