Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and professional Barman for a distinguished luxury wine estate located in Stellenbosch. This is an excellent opportunity for a personable and experienced individual with a passion for delivering exceptional service in a highend hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
Interact with guests take orders and serve drinks and snacks
Assess customer preferences and make recommendations accordingly
Mix ingredients and create a variety of cocktails
Plan and present the bar menu
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies as needed
Maintain a guestfocused approach to ensure an exceptional experience
Adhere to food and beverage regulations minimising waste and losses
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all bar areas
Monitor presentation and temperature of drinks to ensure quality standards
Ensure the bar and coffee stations are fully set up and ready for service
Assist management with bar stocktaking duties
Minimum Requirements:
Ideally 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
Reliable transport to and from the property for late shifts
Genuine passion for the hospitality industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage with a diverse clientele
Professional and respectful demeanour with the ability to work across cultures
High levels of honesty flexibility and accountability
Wellgroomed punctual and selfdisciplined
Strong attention to detail
Basic computer literacy and administrative capabilities
