Position: US Regional LD Field Lead
Reports to: Director of LD NOAM
Seasonal: February through October
Department: Leadership Development
Location: Field based regional hub SLC
Responsibilities:
Serve as the LD point of contact in region(s)and provide support & leadership to Leaders & TPSsin areas including (but not limited to): guest & coleader performance leadership teamwork career development scheduling guidance use of regional and global systems ontrip support etc.
Partner with other regional leadership team members (Field Experts RL & FLOs) to focus on regional morale performance and operations.
Coordinate regional specific personnel tasks such as regional certifications medical visits etc.
Serve as point of contact to welcome & onboard new Leaders & TPSs to the region. Provide leadership on US GRAF Trainings.
Ensure compliance with PTTCs MidSeason Checkins and End of Season Reviews for New Leaders in the region.
Mentor a team of 1015 Leaders/Mentors and provide one on one coaching and mentoring to enhance their leadership.
Serve as a Backroads ambassador to redirect negativity offer transparency & clarity on policy procedures and provide to coaching for staff in the region (LAUGH BIR etc.) as needed.
Responsible for performance management in region(s) by overseeing various performance management processes:
Ownership of Leader Low Score Alert follow up for designated region(s)
Execute performance management conversations in partnership with LDMs (Career progression coaching on specific Field staff criteria disciplinary actions)
Partner with the regional management team to facilitate Village Meetings and develop content accordingly.
Make Field Visits to regions as needed and upon approval from Manager.
Take part in monthly LD Schedule review process for designated region(s).
Partner with LD Managers and regional leadership team during schedule drops and coverage plan process.
Participate in 12 New Leader Trainings as a member of the Training team
Ongoing member of the Interview Team based on skillset.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has Trip Leading and H&T Mentoring experience. They have superb organizational skills and attention to detail while also keeping the big picture in mind. They know what it takes to be a great Backroads Field Staff. They are a natural leader among leaders with the skillset to motivate others multitask and give and receive feedback effectively. Previous experience as a H&T team member
Strong mentoring coaching and facilitation skills
Embodies all characteristics on the Mentor Criteria
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills ability to build strong relationships and influence leader performance and efficiency of systems in the region.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
