Under the direction of the Chief Data Officer the 0933 MADI Director manages the team supporting data needs for patient care regulatory requirements population health surveillance financial operations and the strategic initiatives of the San Francisco Department of Public Health. The Metrics Analytics and Data Integration (MADI) team focuses on database creation and administration master data management and creating reporting standards and processes to integrate data from various sources. The MADI Director works with operational stakeholders and Information Governance (IG) to develop and maintain reporting resources for DPH operational and strategic needs.
Examples of duties:
The MADI Director (0933 Manager V) may perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications :
REQUIRED MINIMIUM QUALIFICATIONS (all applicants must verify that they meet both elements below):
Education*: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university AND
Experience: Five (5) years of professional healthcare Information Systems (IS) experience working with a major clinical system either with a vendor or in a hospital or outpatient setting of which three (3) years must include supervising IS professionals.
*Education Substitution: Additional experience as described above may substitute for the required education on a yearforyear basis (30 semester units/45 quarter units is equivalent to one (1) year of experience).
Note: Oneyear fulltime employment is equivalent to 2000 hours (2000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40hour work week).

Supplemental Questionnaire (SQ) Examination (Weight: 100%):
Candidates that meet the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in a Supplemental Questionnaire (SQ) examination that is designed to measure the knowledge skills and abilities in job related areas which may include but not be limited to: knowledge of Cogito or Clarity/Caboodle knowledge of workflow mapping of clinical and healthcare administrative operations ability to query SQL databases and configure security ability to work with healthcare data and regulatory requirements.
Candidates must achieve a passing score on the Supplemental Questionnaire exam to continue in the selection process and will be placed on the confidential eligible list in rank order according to their final score.
Additional selection processes may be conducted by the hiring department prior to making final hiring decisions.

Eligible List/Score Report
