Job Description

The Education Team Leader is responsible for leading the development implementation and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs for students with special needs. They serve as key liaisons between parents teachers administrators and support staff to ensure appropriate educational services and support for students with Duties and Responsibilities:1. IEP/504 Development and Facilitation:Lead the IEP/504 team in developing and reviewing Individualized Education Programs (IEP/504s) for students with disabilities ensuring compliance with state and federal with IEP/504 team members to gather and review assessment data identify student strengths and needs and establish measurable goals and objectives.2. Documentation and Compliance:Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all IEP/504 process aspects including meeting minutes assessment reports progress monitoring data and communication with parents and compliance with special education laws section 504 law: regulations district policies and timelines for initial evaluations annual reviews and triennial reevaluations.3. Parent and Community Engagement:Serve as a primary point of contact for parents of students with disabilities providing information support and guidance throughout the IEP/504 positive relationships with parents promoting collaboration and shared decisionmaking in developing and implementing their childs IEP/ with community agencies advocacy groups and other stakeholders to access resources and support services for students with disabilities and their families.4. Professional Development and Training:Provide training and professional development opportunities for school staff on topics related to special education law best practices in IEP/504 development and strategies for supporting students with disabilities in the general education informed about current research trends and innovations in special education and share relevant information with colleagues to enhance the quality of student services.5. Student Progress Monitoring and Evaluation:Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to monitor student progress toward IEP/504 goals and objectives adjusting services and supports as progress reviews and annual IEP/504 meetings should be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the students program and make recommendations for modifications or revisions as other duties as assigned.
