Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the AWS Intelligent Operations. This role will own end to end finance support including P&L management and planning for AWS Intelligent Operations services. Additionally this role will drive strategic new Intelligent Operations feature launches and process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
1. Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance
2. Owning the services end to end of revenue creation and influence business decisions that drive pipeline creation and realization
3. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations
4. Partner with finance business and sales teams across AWS to standardize streamline and prioritize improvements remove roadblocks and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process reengineering quality assurance) experience
5 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
5 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
MBA or CPA
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
