You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Safety Officer is responsible for conducting regular walkthroughs of the facility to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations identify hazards and promote a safe working environment. This role plays a key part in risk prevention by proactively monitoring safety conditions and reinforcing safety protocols across all departments.
* Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility to inspect work areas tools equipment and processes for compliance with safety standards.
* Identify potential safety hazards and ensure timely corrective actions are taken.
* Communicate safety observations and concerns to department supervisors and management.
* Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
* Document and report incidents nearmisses and unsafe behaviors or conditions.
* Participate in safety meetings audits and orientation sessions.
* Promote a strong safety culture by engaging with employees and reinforcing best practices.
* High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field preferred).
* Prior experience in a safetyrelated role preferably in manufacturing construction or industrial settings.
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
* Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and work in various facility conditions (e.g. noise heat confined spaces).
