The Safety Officer is responsible for conducting regular walkthroughs of the facility to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations identify hazards and promote a safe working environment. This role plays a key part in risk prevention by proactively monitoring safety conditions and reinforcing safety protocols across all departments.
* Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility to inspect work areas tools equipment and processes for compliance with safety standards.
* Identify potential safety hazards and ensure timely corrective actions are taken.
* Communicate safety observations and concerns to department supervisors and management.
* Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
* Document and report incidents nearmisses and unsafe behaviors or conditions.
* Participate in safety meetings audits and orientation sessions.
* Promote a strong safety culture by engaging with employees and reinforcing best practices.
* High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field preferred).
* Prior experience in a safetyrelated role preferably in manufacturing construction or industrial settings.
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
* Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and work in various facility conditions (e.g. noise heat confined spaces).
