Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Management:
- Lead and manage the Bids and Tender function for all segments across Western Europe.
- Oversee the performance of the Bids and Tender Leads in the markets providing coaching development and guidance to ensure high performance.
- Develop and execute strategies to streamline the bidding process enhance win rates and ensure competitive positioning in the market.
Bid and Tender Management:
- Oversee the preparation submission and postsubmission activities for tenders across the four key segments.
- Ensure that all bids meet the highest quality standards are compliant with regulations and align with business objectives.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams including Sales Marketing Legal Compliance and Product Management to ensure the alignment of the tender strategy with overall business goals.
- Manage complex and highvalue tenders ensuring that all technical financial and commercial requirements are addressed effectively.
- Lead price management setups and price dispute management done by the teams.
- Drive process improvement and alignment across the countries and segments.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Serve as the key point of contact for senior executives and key internal stakeholders related to bid and tender strategies.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to align strategies and deliver consistent messaging.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including clients distributors and regulatory bodies to enhance tendering processes.
Team Development & Resource Management:
- Lead the recruitment training and development of the Bids and Tender team.
- Promote a collaborative and highperformance culture within the team fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.
- Monitor and manage team performance ensuring all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and resources.
- Manage the Bids and Tender budget.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for tracking the success of bids and tenders.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on the status of bids success rates and areas for improvement.
- Analyze feedback from successful and unsuccessful tenders to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
Market & Competitor Insights:
- Stay abreast of industry trends competitor activities and regulatory changes in the medical device sector to ensure that tender submissions remain competitive and compliant.
- Provide strategic input on market intelligence to help shape the companys longterm commercial strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Life Sciences Engineering or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in bids and tenders within the medical device or healthcare industry with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multidisciplinary crossfunctional teams particularly in highstakes complex tender environments.
- Expertise in the four key segments: Pharma Advanced Surgery Healthcare Systems & Technologies and Infusion Therapies & Technologies.
- Strong experience in managing largescale bids and tenders in a highly regulated environment.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proven ability to think strategically manage complex processes and deliver results under pressure.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks.
- Deep understanding of the tendering and procurement process in the medical device industry.
- Engaging and highly persuasive personality with the Executive presence to lead by influence both within the BU and with Commercial Excellence colleagues.
- Skilled at emotional and corporate intelligence. Willing to challenge current thinking and drive major change initiatives.
- Serves as an advocate for Commercial Excellence with strong transformational skills.

- In depth solid understanding of business strategy growth plans customer and Sales Organization needs and Healthcare markets as well as the companys value offerings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tender management software/tools.
- Fluency in English (additional European languages are a plus).
