Data Migration Consultant

We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Data Migration Consultant to join our team in Nieuwegein Netherlands. As a Data Migration Consultant you will play a crucial role in helping our clients with their digital transformation journey by ensuring smooth and accurate data migration processes.

• Design and implement data migration strategies for clients undergoing digital transformation
• Analyse source systems and develop comprehensive data mapping plans
• Create and execute data conversion rules selections and controls
• Ensure data integrity and completeness throughout the migration process
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align data migration with overall project goals
• Develop and maintain documentation for data migration processes and procedures
• Provide expert advice on data migration best practices and potential challenges
• Monitor and report on the progress of data migration projects
• Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues as they arise
• Conduct postmigration validation to ensure successful deployment of new systems

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Database Administrator Data Engineer or Software Engineer
• Strong affinity for data data structures and data mapping
• Proven knowledge and experience with data modelling and relational algebra
• Excellent SQL skills and experience
• Proficiency in at least one programming language preferably Python
• Familiarity with Microsoft cloud stack is advantageous
• Demonstrated experience in data migration projects
• Strong understanding of ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes
• Knowledge of data quality and data governance principles
• Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Practical problemsolving attitude
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is highly desirable
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
• Relevant data migration or database certifications are a plus
