The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science leading policy and advocacy campaigns and building partnerships.

We plan to spend 16bn over the next ten years funding new discoveries in life health and wellbeing and taking on three global health challenges: mental health infectious disease and climate and health.

These challenges need the bold science we support but they wont be solved by science alone.

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce System Administrator to join our Funding Operations and Governance team in Research Funding on a permanent position.

Where in Wellcome will I be working

Wellcome is seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Administrator to manage and optimise our Salesforce Funding & Relationships Platform. This pivotal role will ensure the platform meets organisational needs enables business transformation and leads efforts in data reporting monitoring and enhancing data accuracy across Wellcomes funding portfolio.

You will be based in the Research Funding department and have a strong focus on grant funding functionality processes and data within Salesforce and you will work closely with other Salesforce Administrators in the department. You will also be part of a matrix team which supports other Salesforce applications (relationship management finance contracts) at Wellcome and you will work closely with the Strategic and Technical Leads for the platform and the Product Manager.

What will I be doing

The Senior Salesforce System Administrator plays a critical and varied role in managing and optimising the Salesforce platform across Wellcome and data to meet organisational needs.

As a Senior Salesforce System Administrator you will:

  • Develop a robust system architecture with the technical lead for reliable data models and reporting and configure and maintain Salesforce applications with a focus on grant funding functionality manage user accounts and security settings customise objects and collaborate on custom solutions and integrations to improve system functionality.

  • Capture user needs and identify enhancement opportunities in collaboration with subject matter experts and external partners.

  • Develop and maintain grant funding data reports and dashboards for stakeholders across Wellcome lead data audits and cleansing activities for data accuracy and analysis while maintaining knowledge of Salesforce data models.

  • Lead Salesforce projects from inception to completion gather requirements input into the platform roadmap support Wellcome teams with training and guidance documents troubleshoot issues and generate usage statistics.

  • Demonstrate Wellcomes values contribute to an inclusive culture and undertake tasks aligned with managing the Funding & Relationships Platform adapting to changes in role as required to deliver Wellcomes mission.

  • Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation collaborating across departments.

This role is integral to the ongoing maintenance and development of our Salesforce infrastructure and we seek a motivated individual who is enthusiastic about contributing to Wellcomes vision and strategic objectives. Its a varied role which will allow you to work across several departments and different functional areas at Wellcome and a typical day might include anything from configuration discovery meetings to providing data to senior stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Possession of Salesforce Administrator certification with a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and data models including Service Cloud Lightning Experience and experience with Salesforce integrations using APIs.

  • Proven experience in delivering highstandard projects within tight deadlines and capability in Agile methodology. Ability to translate user stories into technical solutions and manage multiple pieces of work across stakeholder groups.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills able to present complex information simply and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to form collaborative working relationships across a matrix team structure comfortable working in a changing complex and sometimes ambiguous environment selfmotivated and proactive.

  • Knowledge of Wellcomes mission and strategic priorities demonstrating a keen interest in delivering Wellcomes vision commitment to continuous personal development and adaptability to changing priorities.

Minimum Criteria:

  • Salesforce Administrator certification.

  • Proven data management and reporting experience.
