The GMUHS STEM Educator halftime position plays an essential role in providing students teachers and families with highquality handson science experiences. Throughout the course of a week the STEM Educator is responsible for their own programming. The STEM Educator must enjoy working with children and have a passion for science. A positive fun friendly and outgoing personality is important. In this role the individual will work with both middle school and high school students. A STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) teacher should specialize in teaching subjects within the STEM fields. These teachers prepare students for careers in the rapidly evolving and technologically advanced fields of science technology engineering and mathematics. A STEM teacher is responsible for guiding students through coursework that emphasizes handson inquirybased learning. They aim to cultivate critical thinking problemsolving skills and a deep understanding of STEM concepts to empower students for success in future STEMrelated careers.
