Job Description
The Amazon Devices Discovery Experiences team is looking for a SDE to work on team owned experiment platforms (MVT and Ravio). You will work on platforms that leverages a wide variety of technologies across machine learning AWS and front end frameworks to build hugely impactful features for millions of customers all over the world.
We build personalized features for every page on Amazon to help customers understand the products offered by our category. This is a new category with plenty of challenges in customer education product setup and installation Alexa connections and product discoverability. This is one of the most impactful space for Amazon Devices with loads of potential to leverage GenAI and we are looking for eager engineers to reshape the tech. We have an ambitious goal to provide personalized experiences tailored to each customer.
Successful candidates have a strong desire to learn embrace working on the full stack and have a keen eye for designing highly scalable available and maintainable systems. We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in building scalable personalized shopping experiences. Design implement test deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance durability cost and security.

As you design and code solutions to help our team drive efficiencies in software architecture youll create metrics implement automation and other improvements and resolve the root cause of software defects.
About the team
The DiscoX team aims to create personalized and immersive experiences that drive discovery of complementary products throughout the shopping funnel. We implement curated complementary product storytelling experiences improve personalization and expand personalized recommendations across hightraffic pages powered by Gen AI and LLM as well as optimize crosscategory merchandising.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
