You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Ketchikan Trial Court is accepting applications for a detailoriented and organized Court Case Manager 2 (salary range 12)! The successful applicant will process jury and civil paperwork and assist counter and telephone customers.

This position will open monitor and close all civil cases review filings for compliance with rules process all paperwork in a timely manner schedule hearing and trial dates for civil cases distribute judgments and orders to all parties and process entries for default and default judgments.
Additionally you will maintain master jury lists screen jurors through questionnaires monitor jury attendance excusals and deferments and answer complex or complicated questions about jury service received by mail telephone in person or as referred by other clerks or judicial officers.
As a Court Case Manager 2 you will share counter duties with Probate and Criminal clerks and respond to a variety of questions from the public other court staff and other agencies without giving legal advice answer phones and direct calls and receipt money for payment of bail fines surcharges restitution filing fees etc. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.

The Work Hours
Fulltime court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a onehour lunch break.

Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of office clerical experience AND the ability to type at least 40 words per minute (net).
Substitution:
Additional office clerical work experience will substitute for the high school diploma or GED certificate on a monthformonth basis.
Completion of 36 semester credit hours or 48 quarter credit hours of coursework from an accredited college will substitute for the year of required office clerical experience.
Completion of an appropriate vocational training course of study such as legal secretary paralegal or office skills will substitute for the required office clerical experience on a monthformonth basis.
