Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Preference may be given to applicants who meet the Minimum Qualifications AND possess the following:
Masters degree and two years of experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models data science pipelines or computational workflows in research or applied setting.
Ability to effectively connect domainspecific research needs with appropriate technical solutions.
Strong communication skills with the demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
Demonstrated research skills and experience leading handson workshops or instructional sessions.

Position Overview:
Georgia State Universitys Instructional Innovation and Technology (IIT) division is seeking a skilled professional to join our vibrant and growing team as an IT Architect who will serve as aCyberInfrastructure (CI) Facilitator AI and Data Science. Under the general supervision of the Associate Director Research Solutions this role will bridge the gap between advanced AI frameworks and the unique needs of the Advanced Research Computing Technology and Innovation Cores (ARCTIC) user communities fostering innovation by guiding researchers in implementing scalable pipelines machine learning workflows and reproducible analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
The scope of responsibilities for this position will include but is not limited to the following essential duties:
Partner with faculty researchers and graduate students across disciplines (e.g. natural sciences engineering social sciences humanities) to codevelop and optimize computational strategies that advance scholarly research.
Act as a bridge between domain experts and technical platforms to ensure research questions are matched with the most effective methodologies.
Advise on and implement advanced AI machine learning (ML) and data science techniques in research settings using both HPC and cloudnative environment
Guide research teams in experimental design reproducible workflows and the integration of computational methods into their research agendas.
Support the creation and adaptation of domainspecific AI and data science pipelines ensuring tools and workflows are tailored to the specifications of different fields.
Provide guidance on algorithm selection data preprocessing strategies and model evaluation tailored to research goals.
Collaborate with cyberinfrastructure and systems teams to facilitate researchers access to and effective use of highperformance computing (HPC) clusters onpremises and cloudbased resources container orchestration platforms and largescale data processing frameworks
Lead and support the development of researcher training materials handson workshops and knowledgetransfer initiatives
Build capacity in the use of computational tools data science techniques and responsible AI methodologies across the academic community.
Contribute to the formation of interdisciplinary research networks:
Identify emerging computational needs.
Document use cases.
Promote best practices and facilitate knowledgesharing among interdisciplinary research groups and centers.
Partner with domain experts IT staff and external collaborators to develop and implement innovative AI and data science solutions.
Attend relevant conferences and events to stay current with trends and foster partnerships.
