Job Description
Visa is heavily investing in its Global Product Design Team to help support its growing digital product ecosystem which is comprised of four specializations: Consumer Commercial Money Movement ValueAdded Services and Platforms. We are looking for a Sr. Design Manager to join our Platforms Team.

In this role you will manage a team and model excellent design principles. The Sr. Design Manager is an experienced people manager who will be responsible for designing usable accessible and engaging user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Be an advocate for the customer.
- Design usable accessible and engaging digital experiences.
- Exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor.
- Own and make design decisions based on a thorough understanding of contemporary usercentered design principles.
- Collaborate with our crossfunctional product and business teams and build upon their vision using sound design principles to ensure alignment and project success.
- Capture requirements design flows wireframes prototypes and fully fleshed out designs.
- Document designs and consult with engineers to ensure they are built and function as intended.
- Effectively demonstrate strong problemsolving skills customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible for the strategic oversight of product lines.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD preferably working in agencies digital product or established startups.
Bachelors Degree in Human Factors Design Psychology Sociology or related field.
Essential Functions:
Subject matter expertise in Interaction Design.
Subject matter expertise in Accessibility (WCAG) a plus.
Experience launching worldclass digital products and services.
Experience conducting usability tests (including with users with disabilities) a plus.
Proficiency designing highfidelity mockups and prototypes using Figma or other industry tools.
Experience in running client engagements demonstrating excellence in presentation polish and strong client orientation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including thorough and methodical attention to detail.
Fully fluent in English and able to understand and be easily understood in spoken and written English.
Ability to communicate concepts and recommendations confidently to a variety of audiences.
Ability to selfmanage time and work independently or as part of a product team.
An online portfolio that demonstrates outstanding product and system thinking.
Additional Information :
Work Authorization: Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 510% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 143200.00 to 207800.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on jobrelated factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
