Our challenge
We are seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer with a minimum of 7 years in Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess relevant certifications in Azure Databricks and OpenShift and have a proven track record of successful project delivery in the fintech banking sector. This role involves designing deploying and managing Azurebased applications and infrastructure ensuring high availability and performance.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other accordance with law the base salary for this role if filled within Mississauga ON is CAD $120k CAD $140k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Design implement and manage Azure cloud infrastructure to support application deployment and operations.
- Collaborate with development teams to create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
- Optimize application performance and scalability on Azure platforms.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in cloud architecture.
- Leverage Azure services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Azure Functions and Azure Databricks for application development and deployment.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues implementing solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Assist in the migration of existing applications to Azure cloud.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to architecture design and configuration.
- Stay uptodate with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing particularly within the fintech industry.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working with Azure cloud services.
- Strong experience with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks relevant to banking and financial services.
- Proven experience in application development and architecture in a fintech environment.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g. Jenkins Git Terraform).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
Preferred but not required:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Azure Developer Associate.
- Azure Databricks Certification.
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration.
