About the role
Oversee the coordination and implementation of NDIS inpatient access requests including monitoring processes communications and ensuring effective internal practices for optimal utilisation of NDIA pathways.
Perform triage and review of NDIS applications and escalations to ensure timely resolution of issues impacting SVHN patients and service delivery.
Collaborate with the Manager to develop evaluate and disseminate NDIS application and planning guidelines resources and training tools for St Vincent staff.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including NDIA LACs and community organisations to address clinical enquiries eligibility issues and facilitate the NDIS application process.
Lead quality improvement initiatives facilitate NDISrelated education and training sessions and ensure compliance with relevant policies procedures and legislative requirements within the organisation.
About you
Postgraduate qualifications or a Bachelors degree in Allied Health and eligibility for full membership in the relevant professional association with clinical experience in a hospital health or disability services setting.
Demonstrated advanced clinical reasoning and practice skills for assessing and treating people with disabilities or functional impairments with a strong understanding of the NDIS.
Ability to exercise independent professional judgment in problemsolving and managing cases particularly when procedures and methods require adaptation.
Strong communication negotiation problemsolving and decisionmaking skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead quality improvement initiatives supervise and teach Allied Health Professionals and effectively communicate with health professionals and external service providers.
