About the role

  • Oversee the coordination and implementation of NDIS inpatient access requests including monitoring processes communications and ensuring effective internal practices for optimal utilisation of NDIA pathways.

  • Perform triage and review of NDIS applications and escalations to ensure timely resolution of issues impacting SVHN patients and service delivery.

  • Collaborate with the Manager to develop evaluate and disseminate NDIS application and planning guidelines resources and training tools for St Vincent staff.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including NDIA LACs and community organisations to address clinical enquiries eligibility issues and facilitate the NDIS application process.

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives facilitate NDISrelated education and training sessions and ensure compliance with relevant policies procedures and legislative requirements within the organisation.

About you

  • Postgraduate qualifications or a Bachelors degree in Allied Health and eligibility for full membership in the relevant professional association with clinical experience in a hospital health or disability services setting.

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical reasoning and practice skills for assessing and treating people with disabilities or functional impairments with a strong understanding of the NDIS.

  • Ability to exercise independent professional judgment in problemsolving and managing cases particularly when procedures and methods require adaptation.

  • Strong communication negotiation problemsolving and decisionmaking skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to lead quality improvement initiatives supervise and teach Allied Health Professionals and effectively communicate with health professionals and external service providers.
