SUMMARY:
The CTE Education Specialist is responsible for expanding the Districts Career and Technical Education (CTE) program by fostering strategic industry partnerships leading project management efforts developing innovative programs and supporting student engagement in workbased learning opportunities. This dynamic role involves overseeing multiple student and industry partner projects in collaboration with comprehensive high schools strengthening community relationships and enhancing educational and client experiences to drive the growth and success of the Districts educational initiatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Professional UtahCTElicense or Secondary license with a Professional CTE endorsement or a valid CTE or Secondary license from another state that is transferrable to Utah with a CTE endorsement.
- 3 years experience working in licensed K12 CTE position.
- Intermediate experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Access etc.) and experience using project management tools.
- Professional communication skills including but not limited to: excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; confident articulate and professional speaking abilities; and empathic listening and persuasive speaking skills.
- Experience with grade level/content PLCs/data meetings for analysis of student data to inform instructional practices for highest student achievement.
- Valid Utah Drivers License evidence of insurance and access to reliable transportation and ability to travel to difference district locations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree in Education or a related field
- 5 yearsexperience working in licensed K12 CTE position.
- BiLingual Spanish Speaker: speaks reads writes and understands spoken Spanish
- Have an ESL Endorsement or will obtain one within 4 years of hire.
- Ability to provide positive and inspirational leadership/guidance and a collaborative mindset to learning community stakeholders.
- Ability to implement policies procedures and processes for providing direction and/or complying with mandated requirements.
- Knowledge of school budget management in alignment with school needs following district budget procurement and accounting policies and procedures with integrity and ethics.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable with changing priorities and needs of the school students parents district and other stakeholders.
- Support and assist the CTE Director in all matters pertaining to the CTE Department
- Oversee and coordinate concureent enrollment processes for students including maintenance of records and support for students and faculty

Work Environment Requirements:
