GXM Consulting is seeking a Lead Tester to provide both handson testing and leadership within a crossfunctional Agile team. The Lead Tester will plan coordinate and execute test activities using a variety of functional usability and accessibility testing methods. This individual will help drive quality across the full development lifecycle and collaborate closely with developers designers and product staff to ensure intuitive performant and compliant software delivery. This role requires both technical testing proficiency and automation experience. This position is Local Onsite/Hybrid with AdHoc Telework Possible.

Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in software testing usability evaluation.
  • Ability to lead an integrated and matrixed test team.
  • Strong foundation in test planning test automation test execution and defect documentation.
  • Experience creating testing artifacts such as usability test plans testing scripts and testing reports.
  • Ability to conduct demonstrations and speak in front of groups.

Qualifications

  • Manage and oversee test execution tasks by the test team including integration system regression smoke accessibility and performance (load/stress) testing in an AgileScrum development environment that utilizes user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure test team functional testing includes test types such as negative edge case and error condition testing.
  • Support program usability and acceptance testing events.
  • Manage test plans test processes test reporting and test tools.
  • Manage test team adherence to daily Scrum activities including the documentation of test cases for individual user stories.
  • Manage test team adherence to defect reporting and tracking processes including rootcause escalation and resolution.
  • Lead the development of automated testing using a variety of tools such as Selenium WebDriver with TestNG (user interface) SoapUI and Postman (API) and tools such as JMeter or K6 Grafana Open Source (performance).
  • Develop the test automation framework and train test team in the framework standards format and best practices guidance.
  • Perform code reviews of test automation to ensure test team abides by standards framework and guidance.
  • Advise program leadership on the progress of the testing activities.
  • Work closely with the technical leads and product owners to develop plans schedules and estimations as necessary.
  • Maintain test specifications test plans/cases and test automation code via source control software.
  • Configure administer and troubleshoot software test environment.
