Position Summary

A Slip Casting and Cup Handling Generalist at Heath in an important production role; daily production work includes trimming of cups and handles slip casting of handles forming of cups on cup machine collecting and organizing components in wetcabinet attaching handles to cups sponging and finishing final assembled pieces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong attention to detail while working at a rapid production pace
• Perform fine finishing and assembly with skilled hand techniques
• Consistently work toward and meet daily production goals
• Accurately follow instructions for assembly quality control (QC) and procedures
• Collaborate effectively with team members
• Assist in slip casting as needed

Qualifications and Experience

• Desire to work in a plant environment and to be hands on
• Excellent people skills: must be patient flexible and calm
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Proficiency with basic Mathematics (addition subtraction multiplication division
• Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Demonstrated ability to be reliable and punctual
• Willingness to be flexible and accept instruction from team members

Physical Requirements (Medium to Heavy)

• The ability to transport clay finished goods and other production materials (up to 35 lbs. at a time). The total weight lifted per day can be 3500 to 5000 lbs.
• Other activities including climbing balancing kneeling reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting repetitive motion grasping and feeling.

Work Environment/ Hours / Compensation

This position is a temporary 3month assignment with the possibility of moving to permanent. The position is a fulltime nonexempt onsite role at our Sausalito Factory & Showroom. The hours for this position are 6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The rate for this position is $25.00/hr.
