As Program Manager Education and Employment youll support the implementation of enterprise strategy to deliver value on objectives across various entities business areas vendors and community partners. Youll assist in executing strategy and program initiatives for education and employment within the community. Goals and success measures focus on key business metrics stakeholder alignment and effective execution management.
About the role
Oversee and manage a portfolio of nonprofit organizations (grantees) and areas of focus
Convene philanthropic grantees and community partners to increase collaboration and effectiveness
Develop strategies plan and implement grantmaking activities
Monitor state and federal policies impacting key focus areas
Conduct program research application support and proposal evaluation
Track grant activity contracts and postgrant evaluation
Develop outcome reporting and comparison memos for grantees
Identify opportunities for collaboration and networking among grantees
Maintain grants management systems and budgets
Engage in community organizing and policy development
About you
Minimum qualifications
Bachelors degree in education public affairs or related field
Experience in missiondriven work and project management
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in CRM/grant management software
Preferred qualifications
Familiarity with software platforms such as Salesforce and Workday
Experience working in Detroit
Engaged with local Detroit stakeholders; preferably involved in two or more of the following sectors: K12 and higher education corporate and/or foundation philanthropy and/or family oriented social services
Community program development experience
Data management and impact reporting experience
Knowledge of local state and federal policies affecting underresourced communities
