Job Description Summary

As a Repair Station Technician you will perform functional tests visual and measurement inspections and various assembly tasks while collaborating with team members to ensure parts and work orders move efficiently through departments. You will follow detailed work instructions and utilize a variety of tools while adhering to Repair Station rules and regulations. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED one year of manufacturing experience basic computer and math skills and the ability to read blueprints with a strong attendance record and a commitment to producing errorfree products.

  • Work environment: Jacksonville site is unique; we are an electronics manufacturing repair and overhaul of engine ignition systems (exciters leads igniters) speed sensors and harnesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional tests (electrical helium and leak tests) to ensure accuracy and functionality.

  • Performs visual and basic measurement inspection of parts following assembly steps cuts strips and crimps wire as required operates test equipment and performs weight measuring as needed.

  • Collaborate with team members to move parts and work orders through various departments.

  • Train with Certified Repairman to gain Part 145 skills.

  • Read and interpret dimensional measurements using calipers and scales.

  • Follow written work instructions processes and procedures.

  • Utilize a wide variety of hand and power tools.

  • Learn and adhere to Part 145 Repair Station rules and regulations.

  • Understand traceability of parts per Air Agency Regulations.

  • Review FAA and Customer documents to understand processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Basic computer math and ERP skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Selfdirected motivated and able to work in a team environment.

  • Willing and able to frequently lift carry push and/or pull up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.

  • Willing and able to stand for extended periods.

  • Willing and able to work with hazardous materials and crosstrain.

  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with DOT and FAA regulations.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints with experience in soldering electronics manufacturing assembly and brazing along with training in dimensional and electrical aspects.

  • Excellent attendance history ability to produce errorfree products strives to meet or exceed job requirements and possesses prior mechanical knowledge.

This role requires access to U.S. exportcontrolled information. Therefore for applicants who are not asylees refugees lawful permanent residents or U.S. Citizens (i.e. not a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) otherwise known as a U.S. Person) final offers will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. exportcontrolled information from the U.S. Government.
