Thales Defense & Security Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Project Finance Analyst to work at our Clarksburg Maryland Campus. This position reports to the Manager of Program Planning and Control.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial aspects of projects including budgeting forecasting cost control and reporting ensuring projects stay within budget and achieve financial goals.
  • Assist building and maintaining project structures in SAP.
  • Prepare project cost reports and presentations.
  • Create journal entries and supporting schedules.
  • Monitor budgets for over and underruns.
  • Reconcile various Balance Sheets and P&L accounts.
  • Support routine financial monthend and yearend close processes.
  • Support and participate in reporting and forecasting of financial results.
  • Present in front of groups including executivelevel employees.
  • Support annual yearend financial audits.
  • Works on selfdriven or projectbased work; with minimal supervision
  • Support achievement of all programmatic contractual and financial objectives.
  • Maintain a high ethical standard of practice including compliance with all company procedures.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Bachelors degree in Business/Accounting/Finance/Economics.
  • 5 8 years of project finance experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • DoD Program Finance Reporting preferred.
  • Knowledge of GAAP or IFRS.
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and interact with employees in all departments and functions.
  • Ability to see a problem or challenge and create a solution a roll up your sleeves and get it done work ethic.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications Fluent in English.
  • Ability to comply with all Company guidelines policies procedures and embrace Company Core Values.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of FAR DFAR CAS.
  • Familiarity with government contracting accounting experience.

The annualized pay range for this role is $93600.00 USD $119600.00 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 5%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above. TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
